Waiting for everyone to go to bed
Then I’ll scribble thoughts and analyze what I’ve said
And it’s a silly thing, hiding in poems and journals
Somewhere it’s serious, spotlight on a kernel
I lay both my hands on my head fighting cloudy reasoning
Waiting for dimmed lights to write and balance ever-changing feelings
*
And I change alone, empty air through your phone
Writing waves until I go home, known as an unknown
I’ll stop hiding when y’all stop devouring and biting
Things change among different lighting
And I’m writing towards a way out.
