Somber Sandpaper

Somber

Not in my arms

She’s not dull in my arms

Gloom isn’t here

An imagination

I play on repeat

Because we barely speak with meaning

I mean the intimacy I want visits via dreaming

Daylight finds happiness at her gorgeous arms’ length

I gargle, I sink

Ship surrendered to an ocean of emotions I hide

Heavy eyes refusing to blink

Somber.
