Holidays Without Dad

I know my dad but I don’t know him

We spends years apart he probably has no idea about my poems

Every once in a while we’ll reconnect

It has been several years since we’ve said hello in person and hugged necks

Our relationship shipwrecked

Only thing I can do is my treat my sons with a different approach and respect

I’m supposed to honor him and say hello but this is a two way street with a dead end flow

It’s strange to me and there’s no place for us to go so let’s say farewell both becoming no-shows goodnight.
