Don’t Skip A Few Pages

You haven’t read the whole page

Yet you turn, missing vital parts,

Blind to our faults and steady with pointing fingers

We damage the living room with words,

It gets harder and harder to look eyes to eyes

Praying harder, scared we’ve seen this scene before, demise,

Talk to me is said but no one listens so I’m afraid to stretch my arms out and say I’m not here

Come to me is said but no one feels safe attempting steps either way but when someone does, our breath is strange.

This is how it ends, carefully, slowly no longer friends, with precision our care burns out towards a saddened end, what shall we do?

Your time is all spent, at bedtime you try to fit sincerity in, as your eyes close the curtains again, maybe tomorrow, tomorrow was said yesterday.

God please show us how to stay diligent to our love.

This is a new chapter but we skipped around the last one

Missing information but confident where we are

I sense damage and distance growing within

She smiles unaware of the changes happening

It gets harder and harder to look in her eyes

Communication crumbling and I know exactly why

Talk to me is said but she doesn’t listen so I’m afraid to stretch my arms out and say I’m not here

I lay asleep at night tormented by several fears.

I’ll pray for open ears and doors

I’ll pray our words won’t be ignored

Flaws flying around like dust

Fighting for the love we have is a must.
