Trip In Two Places

Highway travel while chewing on gravel, have any hits landed in this battle?

I fade, sleeping without rest, brain a complete mess but if I admit the check engine light is on am I lost, probably a large cost to be towed.

Patience isn’t waiting it’s what you do while feeling abandoned, waiting for answers, begging for guidance, while other cars zoom past.

*

White flag, driver’s side window, praying my vehicle will somehow revive, a merge into traffic, dried tears transform into joy as I ride.

*

Emergency lights, fuel gauge low out of sight, darkest night I’ve seen in a while.

Battery almost lifeless stuck between unknown miles, is this about trust or judgment, is this about faith or failure, is this about testing or arresting, is this about waiting until Daybreak?

What are you thinking about after reading this?
