Bring in the sledgehammer,
Eradicate what I’ve imagined,
There is no good in pictures of territories I haven’t toured or beheld,
I’m not on drugs yet I’m pleading to be clean,
Sticky messy emotions grabbing my arms pulling toward daydreaming.
Get thee hence these feet don’t want to miss a specific path,
Silly man trying to ride off into sunsets without a saddle sadly without a horse,
Desperately want to get back to the church in prayer and gratitude as isolation hurts,
I’m not defeated at all simply fighting shaking knees my lonely walk now a crawl,
Better stay busy rather than listen to silence stir empty hands talk.
