Cardboard behind her profile
Smiles posted but untrue
I was jealous for a moment
Felt lacking in my maze
Because according to her posts
Nothing was flawed
I looked at my reflection disappointed
How come my life was a grave
While God kissed her forehead to wake her
Demons plotted my destruction
Even her enemies bowed in polite greetings
Then she fell harder than a summer thunderstorm rain
Admitted scars razors talked her into again and again
Embarrassed she disappeared
I prayed for her and for self
Clarity come near
All of us pretending to have tidy messes
Tucked away and controlled
Cardboard behind our profiles
Instant answers behind our doubts.
“Then she fell harder than a summer thunderstorm rain
Admitted scars razors talked her into again and again”
