Back Pew

I’m broken, can I still come

Been running, now I’m out of places to run

I believe, but make easy things hard

You say I’m accepted, I argue, no I am too far

Who wants to be in the woods walking circles

Asking God if he’s into tricks trying to kill, trying to murder

Obviously, this isn’t how he works

Somewhere within I’m still scared he’s a jerk,

I do not know him enough

Therefore I’m going to learn, keep showing up

Surely I haven’t been picked up to be dropped

Help me know you so I won’t wonder lost

Help me know you better don’t want to be tossed, to and from

Lord I believe, please help my unbelief

Don’t want to hide behind bushes, scared to appear

Scared you’ll obliterate me on sight, I know it isn’t right

So hold me until I understand, repeat I’m a citizen never to be banned

I know you see these tears and tissues I’m going through, to be with you

Hey.
