I’ve been called away from things I didn’t know were very heavy

Proud in carrying bags of weight but didn’t know most was waste

And I’ve been thinking a little more without hugging despair

I’ve been waving bye to people and things I couldn’t resist

Always something new to clean and I have a couple of dirty jeans I still wear

Couple of attitudes to toss plus a few twisted rooms to abandon

With an opportunity to see the place I’ve been dreaming of

Holding onto uncertainty doesn’t seem to measure up

Oh and it always looks shiny, this temporary glow pulling my eyes into knots

Pushing me away right after climax while spitting in my face

Once you see how fragrant thoughts lift you above various pits

Stings will appear before your eyes

Greater things grow in gratitude and I’ve been called away to think harder

My map to success a failure but still preferred and default snare

Bear hug to old bent nails unfit for new purpose but they all had names

Accepting cliffhangers wore arms and hands down but my face found palms

More to clean I’ll carry less relief that’s best eliminated pains deep breath.
