“Travels To Her”

Windows (Photo credit: Michael Casey)

If she says yes we are going to disappear

Comfortable in beds, rooms with windows cleared

Thinking about when we are going to die

Hoping to hold hands before we close our eyes

And if she says yes I’m going to leave this world behind

Skipping past what I know to see what I can find

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for in romance

Other people have claimed the same but couldn’t dance the whole time

Feet tired they blamed me and vowed never to show up again

But this woman keeps dancing always

She looks with a sad straight face

Until her and I are alone and then she feels so at home

Holding on

If she says yes

If she says yes
